Healthspan - Environmental Exposure and Toxicant Load Reduction

Environmental factors play a significant role in the global epidemic of chronic noncommunicable diseases, with an estimated 24% of global deaths linked to modifiable environmental determinants. This course provides clinicians with a comprehensive framework for understanding environmental exposures and how cumulative toxicant burden is associated with chronic inflammation, oxidative stress, and mitochondrial dysfunction.

Participants will explore major exposure pathways and identify common sources of toxins, including heavy metals, PFAS, endocrine disruptors, and pesticides. The course reviews clinically relevant and specialized laboratory assessments to evaluate environmental exposures. 

Clinicians will learn targeted interventions to mitigate toxicant-induced damage. The course covers dietary strategies, lifestyle modifications such as air and water filtration, and the evidence supporting specific nutraceuticals to support detoxification pathways and promote long-term resilience.
